Hi, I’m Mary. I’ve been teaching Pilates since 2012, a decision that came after a complete career shift from the corporate world. At the time, I was juggling life as a single mum to two young children, and Pilates quickly became a passion for me.

My journey with Pilates began back in 1991, when a knee surgeon recommended it as part of my rehabilitation after struggling with a knee injury, Pilates played a significant role in my recovery from multiple surgeries including a knee replacement in 2021 and shoulder surgeries and showed me just how powerful it can be for both fitness and recovery.

Before my injuries, I was always active and loved sports, particularly netball, swimming, and athletics. In fact, I was selected for the England netball trials at 16, but an injury during the trials put an end to my aspirations of pursuing a professional sporting career.

I eventually entered the corporate world in my twenties, but after a decade of burnout, I knew it was time for a change. Once I became pregnant, I made the decision to dedicate my life to my family, and that's when I began teaching Pilates combining my passion for movement with my desire to help others reclaim their health and strength.

Pilates has not only been a personal lifeline but has also become the foundation of my teaching philosophy, allowing me to help others heal, regain strength, and achieve their fitness goals, just as it did for me.
